Introducing Topaz DeNoise 5, Twice the Speed!
Posted on 03. Aug, 2010 by Nichole Paschal in Topaz News
I’m excited to let you know that we’ve just released a free major upgrade to our Topaz DeNoise plug-in! It’s faster and features new tools to help improve your noise reduction process. (You can read the full press release on DPReview)
The most significant improvements in DeNoise 5 include:
- Twice as fast, with no image-quality degradation.
- Maximum image-size doubled.
- Debanding Tab – Banding noise is eliminated with our new dual-directional debanding technology. Learn more about banding noise…
- Correct Black Level slider in the Noise Reduction Menu – This parameter helps reduce any haze or color cast left behind after noise reduction, revealing the true richness in the darkest areas of an image.
DeNoise 5 continues to shine with high ISO imagery, and now processing in half the time, I’m personally very excited for this upgrade. As a recent addition to the Topaz team and an avid photographer, I have had the fun job of sitting down and really learning all of our software. I was blown away with DeNoise 4′s ability to reduce noise and recover detail at the same time, and with DeNoise 5, the processing time has doubled in speed. If you work with large images, as I do, or multiple images at one time, I think you’ll find the increase in speed and image-size a great addition to the DeNoise software. Add on the dual-directional debanding technology and unique shadow tone restoration tool and I think you’ll be very impressed. Try it out on your own photos and see what you think.
DeNoise 5 is a free upgrade to existing users. Click on the link above to upgrade now!
