How to Become a Topaz Beta Tester

I got a new computer for Christmas that is totally different than what I had before (64 bit, 4 gig ram). Do I need to reapply for the Beta program, or am I still included. I changed the informaton in my profile.

I'm new to the Community Forum, but not new to Topaz Labs. I've submitted a request to join the Beta group because I have had Topaz Adjust & DeNoise for awhile (a couple of years, maybe?) and I'm currently trialling the other Topaz offerings. Along the way, I've found that I get errors when dealing with larger or more 'complicated' files. My files mostly come from my own camera - a Canon 400D - shot in the RAW setting. As I have my eye on a Canon D7 in the nearish future, I know my RAW file sizes will only get bigger. And then, when I add images together in composite and play with the layers as Smart Objects, the file sizes not only grow exponentially, but so does the processing power needed to generate my ...er, I'd like to say "work", but is it really? ;-) Some of this may (or may not) be mitigated by a near future upgrade to Windows 7 in an effort to reduce some of Vista's resource hog nonsense though.

That said, I love what the software does, and I'd definitely buy another 4 products (Simplify, Clean, DeJPEG & Detail) if I knew that they could handle some pretty large files. So I'm hoping I can help find those bugs in your future software offerings that cause grievances to large files that will only grow larger as I (and others) upgrade my (our) camera/s.

If you have already previously been accepted into the Beta testing program then you do not need to reapply. Just update your system info and you are all set. Just make sure to stay active when there is testing going on.

I don't see the beta forum listed any more. I am supposing I've been dropped. Why? BTW, I think it'd be useful for Topaz Labs to send out an email if a new test is underway.

It's at the bottom of the forum now, it used to be in the middle. If you check your usergroups you can see that it still includes Beta Tester so you haven't been dropped :blink1:

This is not easy..took me 4 tries to get registered.
Now I find the forum..but not the Beta Testers Group.

I would love to do this..have already tried on my own so this would be much better.
