One of my favorite TV shows just came back on for a new season. The show is Sons Of Anarchy. It's about a motorcycle gang in a Northern California town. Thought I give a play to one of their images. I changed the background to a setting more in line with the show. I liked this background also because the name of the beer is Jax ....and that's the name of the lead character in the show. Tried a little more painterly look on this one.

After going "oh fer toofer" on try'n to get my sundowner w/ clouds with my new camera, I thought I just might get a chance this evening. I got them, barely.....
Looking west was OK, but this storm came up from the southeast, and quickly, right behind me. I even had a double rainbow behind me, but it was raining too good to really get off a good shot. If I'd had an umbrella, I could have stayed outside and really taken advantage of nature....oh well, next time!

The sun giving me one last wink, before it dips.

Neighbor(s) giving pause to watch the final act of daylight:

Now...its starting to rain on me pretty good, but I got off this one:

And now, forget it.....even trying to shade my camera with hand, water is getting on the lens as it looked like Dante was lighting his inferno!

It was crazy, but beautiful.

Several weeks back I had opportunity to shoot some vintage cars in a rural area of northern California. I spent the better part of a day with the two interesting fellows who restore these vehicles. I was fighting lighting issues and ended up doing HDR images on most of them and used Topaz Detail a lot because I like how it works with things mechanical if used lightly. Here's a couple I did in painterly style using Simplify.

It was suggested I post my question here.

"My first message is one needing a bit of understanding. Noob stuff for those that know.

I d/l'd the trial of DeNoise and will be shortly purchasing the bundle since I already enjoy Adjust. Okay, so here's what I noticed with DeNoise.

I took a .jpg which had already been processed from a RAW image. The .jpg was saved originally at 13 MPix. I wanted to see how DeNoise would handle the bit of noise in the image and processed beautifully. I went to save that image and noticed that it had been reduced to 6Mpix.

Is that something that happens? Or am I doing something wrong?

No matter what it is a great product. In fact they all are.

Any help would certainly be appreciated. "
