I too would like to have the smaller view sometimes.

Rob, Good suggestions, especially the one about holding off processing until an Enter key is pressed. A similar useful suggestion would be to have a user-programmable delay to hold off the processing until after "x" number of seconds after adjusting controls. (This feature is available on another noise reduction product that purchased long ago).

One simple workaround on Topaz Denoise is to set the Noise Reduction Amount slider to zero before making two or more adjustments to any of the other sliders. This temporarily disables processing while changes are being made. After making your changes, you can return the Amount slider to it's original position, and this activates processing whenever you're ready. Although somewhat inconvenient, I think it may cut your waiting times approximately in half (if not more) in some cases. (You may have already thought of this by now, even).

I have my screen resolution set to maximum, which makes all my user interfaces look small. Because of this, it's common for me to misclick slightly off target when I want to move a control. Topaz Denoise interprets these misclicks as an "adjustment" and sets off a new cycle of processing. It's my fault, but it causes me to wait unnecessarily.

    Best Regards, DB Kettrey

    Hi,

I'm Joachim and I've just registered for this Forum. I've worked for several photo magazines for many years, currently reviewing digital cameras and image editing software. The Topaz lineup seems very interesting, to say the least, and I'm looking forward to getting to know it! The Forum seems a good place to learn about others' experiences of these unique plug-ins.

One surprising aspect of this forum – the latest posts are on the last page! So you have to browse pages instead of seeing the latest reply immediately when the forum opens. This seems to me to be a rather peculiar arrangement – virtuall every other forum I'm a member of (quite a few!) puts the latest posts first.

Is there any special purpose having it in this (IMHO) oddly back-to-front way?

    Best regards,

    Joachim

    Joachim,

Welcome to the forum. You can adjust the way the forum threads are displayed. Go to the "Settings" tab at the top of the display. Next, page down and choose "Forum Settings". Near the lower portion of the page are settings for the order that your pages are displayed. I didn't know this existed until I saw your message (6 pages back...). I changed the setting to display linear, newest entries first and it worked. I've been using the "What's New?" tab a lot, but I could see the frustration for a new user coming into a mature thread.

Once again, welcome, and I hope this helps.

    Mike

Using the arrow keys in Adjust4 is great...I'd like to see that in Detail also...and the others as the new format is introduced.

I think Topaz should go back to the preset views like they were in the Adjust 3 version (and old Detail version). I really liked that feature, it was great to see the presets all at once which is one of the reason I bought the plugin! I also liked the white background instead of the dark grey background, I find it hard to read and view (like this forum too).
