Looks interesting. What I remember most about the boneyard at Davis Monthan was the incredible number of B52's that were stockpiled there. I gather that many have been cut up, and the rest soon will be. In 1970 you could drive through the collection and take as long as you wanted to. Evidently that is no longer possible. Wish I had been interested in photography at the time. The other plane experience when I wish I had been taking pictures when when I got a behind-the-scenes tour at the Smithsonian when they were preparing the Enola Gay for exhibition in the mid-1980s, followed by a tour of their storage facilities and teh Wright and Langmuir flyers.

    Cheers,

    Flick

as to the plane it is actually a Grumman F7F Tigercat
These are to me like vettes are to 70's Kid... I flew antique planes for a living for 10 years (Grumman Goose, DeHaviland Beaver, Otter, Beech 18). I flew the Harvard (Canadian version of the Texan) and the T-28 Fennec (French version of the T-28B) for a while with a local warbird group. I'd just about give my left one for some seat time in the Tigercat or Invader. Damn.

Love this treatment... what did you use for the floor or ground or water ---(whatever!) it is awesome the way is totally focuses your attention on the airfraft... Let me know... I might want to try something like this.
