    Default Rimrocks

Usually I can take one of my images and create something artful that is semi-interesting . . . and sometimes better. For some reason this image of the rimrocks shot near my house yesterday defies what small digital painterly talents I possess.

Anyone want to give it a go?

    Hello James,

Here's my attempt. A little brightening then Simpily and an Adjust layer overlayed followed by a 50% gray layer for a little sky darkening.

    Default I accept the challenge

This shot did not to me lend itself to the normal approach, with so much detail, strong sky and yellow colours, but otherwise low colour pallet. So I tried a different approach to making it into something which might hold the eye a little more. What do you think?

Did a double play. First though, increased the saturation to bring out some color. First play used Adjust/crisp. Second play on top of 1st, blended with a texture layer called 'heavenly_by_SolStock'.

Had to do one more, this time a crop on the Adjust image and used BuzSim with a few tweakings.

All very interesting renditions; directions I hadn't thought of going. Thanks all for the input.

How lucky you are to have landscapes like this so close to home.

Here is my version....Adjust...PSP...Detail...Burn, smear, push, sharpen and NR.

    Mrdurant and JanAndor

Nice renditions; it's always interesting to see where people go with this type of thing. These rims border the northern edge of town and we all take them for granted. But, occasionally I look at them and marvel at their beauty.
