Creative Masking! [Ended]

I did a second shot the same way as the first one and discovered that my Simplify actions left a black border around my son. A bit of the clone tool fixed it. Here is the new pic and the modified first one.

In PSE, I made three layers identical to the original. Then,
Top layer... Adjust followed by Remask, 100% opacity.
Next layer... Simplify, 70% opacity.
Clone away the border.
Next layer...Clean, 60% opacity.
Bottom layer... Pure white layer just so that I could see what I was doing.
Finally, crop for 5X7.

An early blooming Christmas cactus inspired this image. I utilized Topaz ReMask, Clean CrispStyle and Simplify BuzSim. I created the clouds using a variation of a < method > I posted under the forum Photoshop category.
