    James-
Your edits on the gnarled tree reminded me of a paint by number...
I ran your image through VectorMagic, brought it into Illustrator, and played with it in vector format :cheesy:

Topaz Clean on curly or enhanced details often gives me the impression that the image has been vectorized, and it is an excellent precursor to actually tracing an image...

Maybe it's childhood memories of numerous paint-by-number projects subconsciously manifesting itself through Topazination of photos. Anyway, I couldn't detect if you think paint-by-number is good or bad. But, I guess it doesn't matter; I just like to throw mud at a fence, so to speak, and see if it sticks. Tomorrow I might have rendered this image an entirely different way. The important thing is to keep trying to be creative and occasionally it actually occurs!

    Beautiful!

One of my favorite car B/As

Topaz Remask to separate the car from the background; Adjust/Spicify on the car; Adjust/Vibrance on the background; edits in PS to individual layers, then Lightroom edits to all.

    A quick landscape...

Duplicated the photo to a 2nd layer, then applied Topaz Adjust/ Enhanced Contrast to the duplicated layer and masked out specific areas for drama. Then adjusted the resulting image in Lightroom. Lastly, to enhance the dreamy "oasis" nature of the distant pond, I added a fake tilt-shift effect.
