    Talking Before and After [Ended]

Thanks so much to everyone who participated in our previous contest. There were many highly worthy entries but alas, we could only select one winner. Here's another chance to show what you've got!

    This contest's topic is:

Choose and post the most striking "before and after" photo you have!

Post a Topaz-processed photo of anything - and then post the original. If the viewer goes, "Wow, I can't believe you got that, from... THAT!" then you probably have yourself a winner.

Of course, keep in mind that we've seen a lot of our own software's presets, so while you can do whatever looks good, a photo with only Psychedelic slapped on it once may not necessarily win the contest .

The winner's entry will be selected based on both overall photographic quality and the difference between the before and after shots. The winner will receive their choice of Topaz products from this page (excluding the Bundle or Topaz Enhance) and have the possibility for further promotion if you choose (website, Topaz Monthly, etc). If you already have all our software, you receive a free credit for whatever software we release next.

    Contest finishes 11/30/09. Have fun!

    Default Before and After

Thought I would hrow my two photos in. They are of my son coming home after being gone for 6 months. Cropped and cloned out the people before using Topaz.
    Thanks for looking.

I used MUCH more than a single Topaz filter on this. But I did use a few on it. Here is the before shot:

And here is the after, it is actually an HDR, and the "before" is one of the bracketed shots.

    Default Florida Sunset

    Some nice entries so far.

Here is my submission. I took this last March in Bradenton Fla. Some pictures lend themselves better to Topaz than others, this one is a good example. The first image had minimal PP, I only straightened the horizon and pulled shadows back a bit. The 2nd image is a nearly unaltered Topaz adjust spicify preset. I only adjusted levels slightly.

I did about 35 of these of different players for my husband's middle school. The finals had name, team, and # on them. We used them as fund raisers for the football team. This required Topaz Detail, Topaz Remask and Topaz Simplify. I started each one in Photoshop CS4 and finished in Photoshop Elements.
The Topaz Simplify settings were my own preset.

    Nice entries so far.

My humble effort. First photo is SOOC, except for cropping. Started with Denoise as I do with most of my photos, did some basics in Elements (lighting, saturation) used Adjust/spicify, and finally Impressionist for the overall texture.
