Default Topaz clean for skin fix.

This retouch had a few steps to it:

Cloned out bags and wrinkles using the patch tool, cloned out the electrical conduit, fixed skin imperfections using the spot healing tool and clone stamp, used Topaz Clean on a new layer to clean the skin using the skin fix preset and then masked and painted in the required area and adjusted the layer opacity to about 30%, Shrunk the nose and puffed up her lips using liquify.

Sorry I can't figure out how to do a scroll over image. If anyone knows how to code that please help me out.

Nice work....did you try any comparisons with using PS' "surface blur"?

    Great work very clean ,

I added a lighten area around the eyes and open them a bit with liquify . I would have tried an extra low powered fill flash / bounce .
Or get in a darker area to get her pupils to open up ,,, still a great shot either way .

I should have posted a larger file . but you get the idea .

I find that when skin softening with surface blur I usually need at least a high pass layer to bring some texture back and then it doesn't even skin tone. Topaz Clean does it all in one step and is faster to preview. I've played around a bit with Detail for skin softening but I like this better.

I like it! I did have a gold bounce to fill her, but because of the composition and where the natural light fell it was too far back to have enough punch (but enough to make her squint) . It was shot in RAW so I should have no problem dodge around the eyes and retain the quality.

Is there any way to slow down the pinch and expand tool in liquify? They work way too fast for my liking.

Thanks for the input! I'm working really hard to improve my work and getting the input is areal help.

    Cheers, Greg

Brush pressure can be reduced on the warp tool ( finger icon ) in elements , used a smaller brush with short pulls at 100% size . Like pulling pie dough over the edge of the pan . Play with it and revert to the original to see the change .

It goes to show why you're the pro and I'm not!

LOL, that's the easy part of being a pro... it's the marketing, book keeping, quotes, and so on that I wish I didn't have to deal with.
