Default Delete presets and go a little faster

I made a previous post about the processing time of Adjust4 vs. Adjust3. Recently, I noticed my Adjust4 was "launching" faster. Confused me at first, then I remebered I had finally got around to deleting all the presets.

So I put them back and tested again. Then deleted again. Sure enough, both the launch time and the complete time are a little faster. About 3 to 5 seconds are saved when there are no presets.

Makes sense. Personally, however, I want the presets.

I like the presets as well. A good starting point anyway. However, it's definately good to get to know the controls intimately.

Yes, presets are definitely your friend and a big time saver!

Basically, what happens in the newer Topaz programs in reference to loading speed and the presets is when you start up the program it will automatically shrink your image down to the preset preview size. Then it will apply each of the preset settings to the image - the more presets you have the more time it will take, however it should not be a significant time increase. This preset pre-processing makes it so that when you hoover over a preset name in the preset panel, the preview image automatically comes up and you don't have to wait for the preview image to be processed - saving you just a little bit of time on the back end of things as you are making adjustments.

Also, when you are making your slider adjustments in Topaz Adjust, it is best to do your noise reduction last as this will slow down the processing as you are making changes to the image.

    Hope this helps

I also like the presets..it's a great place to start...and then you tweak it to you own taste.
