I created a present in Adjust and it is at the bottom of the list of presets. How do I change the order of presets in order to bring it to the top since I use it frequently. I've been scratching my head over this, any help will be appreciated.

Hi Doyt,
Thanks for your message. Unfortunately at this time there is not a way to reorder the presets. However this may be a possible feature in a later upgrade of our software.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
My home made presets come up alphabetically after they are saved and Adjust is closed out. Reopen Adjust and they should be there in proper order. My only guess is that your preset names start with letters from the end of the alphabet. I know that sounds crazy, sorry.
Click . . . Beep...boop...beep . . . kaChing!
Yes, my presets show up in alphabetical order, so while you cannot change the order, you could use names that start with "a" and get them to appear at the top (e.g. a-myclarify)
There's always the tilde (~).
I have discovered that my idea about the presets being sorted is incorrect. I recently went to some trouble to resave all my own presets to have a name starting with "a". They do not sort at the top.- oddly, in Adjust 5 they sort between Clarity and Darken! Go figure! So much for that idea...
On your C: drive go to
Programs(x86)/Topaz Labs/Topaz Adjust 4/Presets
There are all the presets, both yours and the "factory".
When the Topaz plugin launches, it presents these in alphabetical order by file name. Unfortunately, the factory presets include a file called "00TopazLabs1.tpp" and it contains a number of presets nested in one file.
Because it starts with "00" it sorts first. If you don't want that, simply delete the file (or save it somewhere before deleting).
If you really want some of those presets, simply launch Topaz Adjust, click on one and re-save it. You'll have to pick a different name. So click on "Photo Pop" and then save it as "Topaz Photo Pop" or "Factory Photo pop' or whatever you want to control where it sorts.
Once you've re-saved the ones you want, you can move/delete the "00TopazLabs1.tpp"
As an alternative, you can simply rename the "00TopazLabs1.tpp" file to "zz00TopazLabs1.tpp". Then that batch of presets will show up at the end of the list in Topaz. But then the list in Topaz is still cluttered with Topaz presets you probably never use. Remember that the Topaz Adjust launch time is longer with a lot of presets. So, it's a good idea to delete the ones you never use.
Not sure what happens when you upgrade. The upgrade probably re-installs "00TopazLabs1.tpp", so you would have to delete or rename again after an upgrade.
When I remember it right, sort order is determined by numbers, capital letters than lower cases letters for presets filenames, than sortorder of the definitions (as I call them in my tut, see below) within a preset.
So if you have a preset starting with numbers (like 00TopazLabs1.tpp) which contains severall definitions this preset has first priority and its definitions will appear how they are sorted within that file:
Assuming the definitions in the preset starting with P.., E..., HDR_1..., T..., HDR_2..., A... you will get:
P...
E...
HDR_1...
T...
HDR_2...
A...
in the Adjust pane, followed by other presets with single definitions, f.e. "A", "b"
You can change the appearance of the default preset "00TopazLabs1.tpp" by opening it in a text editor and reorder the defintions as you like. And renaming it to xTopazLabs1.tpp will list ALL its definitions at the end in Adjust (assuming there is no other preset starting with x)
Check out this. I did this a while ago (Topaz V2.*), so the screenshots won't met anymore and it might be a bit to technical, but the sort order still should be valid.
