    Default Applying Multiple Effects

I hope this is the right place to ask this question...

When applying multiple effects to a single image, is each effect applied to the previous, or does applying a second (or third or fourth) effect simple override the previous effect?

    Thanks.

When you apply the effect and close the filter window the effect is applied to your image. If you open the filter again then whatever effect you apply adds to the original. I hope this helps.

    Thanks for the reply, Mike.

So as an example, if I open an image in Adjust and apply "Exposure Correction", I have to then hit "Ok" and then save it in PSP before opening it again to apply another effect?

    Hi Gary,

Yes, that is correct. You would need to process your adjustments before you can apply another set of adjustments to the same image.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Gary, a method I use is to apply one effect, then make a copy of that layer, and apply a second effect to one of the two layers that now have the first effect on them. That way, if I don't like the way the second effect combines with the first, I still have a layer with just the first effect on it. There are obviously many permutations of this techniqe you can try, and at the end delete all layers except what you want.

    Cheers,
