Pricing
We started out pricing Topaz Adjust at $99, based on the value of powerful image adjustments and next-generation noise reduction capabilities that it provides to professional photographers. To many, the noise reduction alone would be worth it.
Then we decided that it would be a good idea to start off relatively low in gratitude for our early adopters. We shaved close to 2/3 off the price, thinking that we'd bump it back up after a month.
But we underestimated the overwhelming support that we've recieved from amateur photographers - those who love what Topaz Adjust does but can't necessarily justify dropping a hundred bucks on a Photoshop plug-in. We've recieved bug reports, helpful suggestions, and staggering amounts of encouragement and positive feedback from both amateurs and professionals. (The photos also astound us.) Thanks for making us feel good whenever we vainly Google "Topaz Adjust".
So it doesn't feel right to suddenly jack up the price after our customers have developed the product as much as we have. Instead of exclusively giving this tool to professionals, we've decided to price it at a point where as many people can enjoy it as possible, at least for a little while longer.
