How To Batch Enhance Multiple Images?

Topaz Vivacity/DeJPEG support Photoshop actions. You need to create an action first:

  1. open an typical images in your colection,
  2. open the "Actions" pannel (Alt-F9)
  3. click the small icon of "Create new action" at the bottom of the action pannel
  4. click the icon of "Start record",
  5. apply filters as your normally do. For example I like to use high ISO setting for my indoor shooting, with flash off. It will prevent blur and flash shadow. However the pictures also has higher ISO noise. Here is what I do:
    1. Use Topaz DeNoise/EQ -> reduce noise
    2. Apply "Adjustment | Auto Contrast" -> better contrast
    3. Apply "Adjustment | Auto color" -> better color
  6. memu: "File | Save as..." to save the result. This is very important. Without this step, a dialog box may pop up asking you to set JPEG quality for every picture!
  7. Now click the icon to stop recording.

Now you can use the action to batch process and enhance all your images:

  1. Menu "File | Automate | Batch ..." to popup the Batch dialog.
  2. In the "Play" area, select the action you have just created.
  3. Make sure to check "Override Action Save As Coomands" checkbox!
  4. Set other field as you see fit and click O.K.
Now sit back, have a cup of coffee, and enjoy Photoshop enhance all your pictures.
