    Hi, Ashley,

Thanks. I’ll send an email and I’ll try adding the .png append.

    Hi Daryl,

I just wanted to update you on this. I was able to recreate this issue, and I’m pretty sure I see where the problem is. I will get with our development team so that we can fix it quickly. In the meantime I found that if you go to the saved image and add “.png” to the end this will allow you to open it in photoFXlab. However it still won’t open in PS.

I’ll keep you up-to-date on the progress of this issue.

Hi, Ashley. I can’t load .png files created with photoFXlab in either PSE 10 or photoFXlab. If I try to place the image over another image, a window opens that says, “Could not place the document because no parser or file format can open the file.” If I try to open the .png file in PSE 10 a window opens that says, “Can’t open [filename] because it is the wrong type of file.”

In short, .png files created with photoFXlab aren’t useable.

Daryl, in regards to your ReMask issue….

Is this issue occurring when you try to load that saved png in photoFXlab or in photoshop?

Alan, please try the following solution:

Install the 32-bit version of photoFXlab 1.2 through the new Software Manager. After this, go to your C->Program Files -> Adobe -> PS6 -> Plugins and Delete the shortcut to “TopazLabs”. Then go to C -> Program Files (x86) -> Topaz Labs -> Applications -> 32bit -> Topaz Plugins and Copy the .8bf file there. Then Paste it back into your PS6 Plugins folder. Restart your PS and you should be able to run as a plug-in through PS6
    .

Princess and Daryl, our developers are working on this issue right now. An update to address the 64Bit Photoshop plugin issue will be available shortly. You’ll just need to get the small 64Bit update (using Topaz Software Manager) that will address this problem. We will let you know when the update is available/downloadable. Thanks for your patience.

If anyone else needs technical support please email our support team directly at help (at) topazlabs.com and we’ll get you taken care of.

Just updated to photoFXlab 1.2 today and, though it does appear in my PS CS6 filter menu, it crashes CS6 when selected. I hope you all will have a quick fix for this issue!

I just installed the photoFXlab 1.2 update, and did not see it in the list of filters in Photoshop CS6. Version 1.1 was listed. Why isn’t 1.2 included with my other Topaz filters?

I can remove the background using ReMask as a filter in PSE 10, then save the file in .png format and place the image in another image. No problem. I can also remove the background from an image using the Mask function in photoFXlab. But when I save that file in .png and try to place it in another image, the file isn’t recognized and can’t be placed in the image. What gives?

Just upgraded to photoFXlab 1.2 and discovered that it is not available as a filter in PSE 10. Version 1.1 was. Why isn’t 1.2 included with my other Topaz filters?
