Upload a scan of an old service portrait or wartime snapshot and Topaz for Web restores it in seconds. The AI removes scratches, dust and creases, recovers faces and sharpens the detail the print still holds in uniforms and insignia, then saves a new copy so the original stays as it was.

What’s different
Many service photos were small prints carried in wallets or mailed home. Restoration recovers faces from tiny, soft originals and repairs the creases they picked up along the way.
Restoration sharpens the detail the print still holds in collars, insignia and ribbons, so the uniform reads clearly again.
Most WWII and Korean War era photos are monochrome. Restoration works on them as they are, and Colorize Photos can add color afterwards.
Fine details such as ribbon patterns are reconstructed by the AI. For research or records, compare the restored file with the original scan and keep both.

Yes. Restoration works on black-and-white and sepia prints from any era, repairing fading, scratches, dust, creases and small tears and recovering faces.
It can make them clearer, but fine details are reconstructed by the AI rather than read from the print. Use the original scan as the reference for any research.
Yes. Restore the photo first, then add color with Colorize Photos. Uniform colors are AI estimates, so check them against known references if accuracy matters.
Small tears and creases are repaired automatically. Large missing areas may need a professional retoucher to rebuild.
